About

From my formal training in traditional & digital art, and professional history developing interactive content for cutting-edge hardware, I thrive working with teams at the intersection of creativity and technology. Throughout my career as a technical artist and team lead, I’ve proven to be an effective communicator, proactive facilitator, continuous learner, and trusted resource.

My responsibilities at Freeform Labs have included most things creative - design, 2D & 3D asset creation, analysis, optimization, implementation, pipeline setup & management, documentation, hiring, team management, and consultation. I enjoy tackling the unique technical and artistic challenges of each project, and working closely with our clients to enable their project's success. I've primarily served on teams as Art Director and Technical Artist, and have often stepped up to fill gaps or provide support as needed across departments. My hands-on experience with art workflows and asset creation has provided a strong foundation for my work as a team builder, manager, and facilitator. I set out to bring quality, consistency, communication, and creativity to every work opportunity. This portfolio website provides in-depth information about each of my shipped projects; if you'd like to get a quick overview instead, check out my project list on LinkedIn: here.

My involvement in the industry and community extends beyond my desk. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to participate on various industry panels (Comic Con, Digital LA, etc), and exhibited content on behalf of Freeform Labs at various industry community events (IndieCade, VRLA, Silicon Beach, VR Fest, NYVR, etc). For over 6 years, I was an active member (including Impact Officer and Vice Curator) of the World Economic Forum's Los Angeles Global Shapers - a network for civically engaged young people to collaborate on addressing local, regional, and global challenges. During the pandemic, I joined Culver City's CRASH Space team to help manage the local manufacturing and delivery of volunteer-made PPE units to local groups in need. I'm a recurring speaker at a number of education programs as well, including Impact Internships, American Association of University Women, EXP, and my local middle and high schools. Since 2019, I've served on the Advisory Board for Orange Coast College's Immersive Media program, and have formally served as a mentor for students at this college through the Mentor Collective program. Details about each of these roles are outlined on LinkedIn: here.

I'm located in sunny Southern California. When I get the chance, I paint and draw, garden, experiment with new software, play games, watch new media, stay up-to-date with industry news, bake, and (my favorite) spend time with my family.

Note: I got married recently! My last name has recently been changed, so please forgive any mismatches in materials or links!
